What we know about you.

The short version

• We don't collect, store, or transmit anything you type into the form. The name, symptoms, and any details you enter stay in your browser and are discarded the second you close the tab.
• Generated diagnosis and prescription cards are created in your browser. We never see them.
• We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and measure which pages people read. IPs are anonymized. You can opt out below.
• If/when we enable advertising, it will use Google AdSense, which uses cookies. You will be notified and given controls.
• No email signup. No account. No sale of personal data.

What we actually collect

Via Google Analytics 4, we log aggregate, anonymized information about visits: the page URL, referrer, approximate country, device type, and whether you clicked certain buttons (e.g. "Diagnose me," "Save card"). We use this to understand which diagnoses are popular and whether the site is working on your phone.

We do not collect: your name, your symptoms, your diagnosis, your prescription, your email, your precise location, your browser history outside this site, or any other personal data you type into the forms.

Cookies

Our cookie use breaks down into three types:

• Strictly necessary cookies — technical cookies required for the site to function (e.g. your cookie-consent choice itself). Always active.
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie (_ga) to distinguish returning vs. new visitors in aggregate. Only set if you accept analytics via the consent banner.
• Advertising cookies (future) — if and when we enable Google AdSense, it may set additional cookies to deliver ads. You will be given controls and notice before this activates.

Consent mode

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. By default, all non-essential cookies are denied. They are only enabled if you explicitly accept via the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data or using your browser's cookie controls.

Opting out

You can disable Google Analytics entirely using Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics at the browser or network level. You can also reject analytics via our consent banner.

Advertising (future)

As of the last-updated date above, Untreatable.com does not display advertising. If we enable advertising in the future, it will be served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads and measure their performance. You will be informed via updated policy and consent-banner options before any advertising is activated.

When AdSense is live:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted. We retain no personal data on our own servers because we don't operate any — the site is static-hosted.

Third parties

The only third-party services we load are Google Analytics (for traffic analysis) and Google Fonts (on the /prescribe page only, for the pharmacy typography). No other fonts, scripts, CDNs, or pixels are loaded. If we add advertising in the future, Google AdSense will be an additional third-party service.

Your rights by jurisdiction

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding personal information:

• Right to know — request disclosure of what personal information we collect about you.
• Right to delete — request deletion of personal information.
• Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but the right is confirmed.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information.
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights.

EU / EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK-GDPR)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK-GDPR, including:

• The right to access your personal data.
• The right to rectification of inaccurate personal data.
• The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
• The right to restrict processing.
• The right to data portability.
• The right to object to processing.
• The right to withdraw consent at any time.
• The right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK).

Because we don't collect personal data beyond aggregate analytics, most of these rights have a trivial answer: there's nothing of yours we hold. But if you have a specific inquiry, email [email protected].

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13 and laughing at these diagnoses anyway, please diagnose yourself with Severe Skibidi Brainrot and go outside.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes — especially any change in third-party data practices (e.g. enabling advertising) — will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
